Carolina Ortíz

Carolina Ortíz, 47 of New Haven died peacefully on Sunday, September 27, 2020 at Yale-New Haven Hospital. She was the beloved wife of Gerardo de Jesus. Carolina was born in New York City on May 28, 1973, a daughter of Ana Celia Villegas of New York City and the late Carlos Manuel Ortíz. She lived in New York City until the age of nineteen when she moved to Bridgeport, CT where she resided for twenty four years. She had lived in New Haven since 1997. Carolina is also survived by a daughter, Sara Marie Davila and a son, Emilio Davila of New Haven. One sister, Ana Maria de Jesus of New Haven, two brothers, Carlos Ortíz of New Haven and Edemiro "Junito" de Jesus of NYC, two grandsons, Carlos Juan Santiago and Julez Juan Santiago, and many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was predeceased by a son, Carols Luís Davila. Ana's family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday, October 13TH from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Washington Memorial Funeral Home, 4 Washington Ave., North Haven. A funeral service will take place at the funeral home on Wednesday, October 14th at 11:30 a.m. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, New Haven. www.washingtonmemorialfh.com
