Carmen Pastora Colón, 63, of New Haven, CT died peacefully at her home on Monday, December 9, 2024 with her loving family by her side. Carmen was born in Cataño, Puerto Rico on May 9, 1961, a daughter of the late Gumercindo Colón and the late Pastora Rivera, and had resided in New Haven since 1990. She worked as a homemaker for B&M Homemaking Services of West Haven for ten years, retiring in 2024, and loved going to the casinos, playing bingo and dominos.
Carmen is survived by three daughters, Kiomelee Ayala, Heidi Ayala and Katiria (Luís) Ocasio, a son, Hector Ayala, two sisters, Norma Colón and Maria Colón, all of New Haven, one brother, José Colón of Cataño, fifteen grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was predeceased by a sister, Carmen L. Colón and two brothers, Gumercindo and William Colón.
Carmen's family will receive relatives and friends on Saturday, December 14th from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Washington Memorial Funeral Home, 4 Washington Ave., North Haven. A funeral service will take place during visitation time. Burial will be private. washingtonmemorialfh.com
