Carmela Anne (DeLucia) Palmieri

Carmela Anne (DeLucia) Palmieri, 100 years old of North Haven, CT died peacefully on Friday, September 27, 2024 at Connecticut Hospice, Branford. She was the beloved wife of the late Frank S. Palmieri. Carmela was born in New Haven, CT on July 31, 1924, a daughter of the late Joseph and Susan (Aiello) DeLucia and had resided in North Haven for the past sixty nine years. She was an avid reader of novels, enjoyed crocheting and knitting, and was a terrific chef who loved to prepare meals for family and friends. Carmel was a longtime parishioner of St. Therese Church, North Haven as well. She is survived by two daughters, Susan Alexander of GA and Sharon Palmieri of North Haven, a son, David F. Palmieri and his wife Maureen of Branford, CT seven grandchildren, David and Jeffrey Alexander, Shanna and Sean Palmieri, Michael Palmieri, Ryan Palmieri and his wife Nicole and Fiona Palmieri, and two great-granddaughters, Ella and Charlotte Palmieri. She was predeceased by four sisters, Louise Esposito, Rosemarie Fuchs, Grace Argento and Gloria Scafariello and three brothers, Michael, Joseph and George DeLucia.
