Carlos Manuel Martínez, Sr.

Carlos Manuel Martínez, Sr., 81, of New Haven, CT died peacefully on Thursday, January 29, 2026 at Yale-New Haven Hospital, St. Raphael Campus with his loving family by his side. Carlos was born in Coamo, Puerto Rico on May 13, 1944, a son of the late Lao Martínez and the late Francisca Figueroa, and had resided in New Haven for the past sixty years. He worked for the former Lynn Ladder Co. of New Haven for forty five years, retiring in 2010.

He is survived by three daughters, Dalia Torres and Yajaira (José Roque) Martínez of New Haven and Marisol (Matthew) Ewing of Higganum, CT, one son, Carlos Manuel (Alexia) Martínez, Jr. of Hamden, one sister, Carmen Martínez of the Bronx, NY, fourteen grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Carlos are private and have been entrusted to the Washington Memorial Funeral Home, 4 Washington Ave., North Haven. washingtonmemorialfh.com
