Blanca Nilda Nieves

Blanca Nilda Nieves, 57 of New Haven died peacefully on Wednesday, August 18, 2021 at Yale-New Haven Hospital with her loving family by her side. Blanca was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico on December 28, 1963, a daughter of the late José Nieves and the late Juana del Gado, and had resided in New Haven for the past forty seven years. She is survived by two daughters, Zamira Quiles and Gloria Quiles, six sons, José Enrique Ramos of Waterbury, Jorge Hiram Quiles, Adalberto Rivera and Gabriel Orlando Marrero of New Haven, Louis D. Rivera of Orlando, FL, and José Ignacio Vázquez of Jacksonville, FL, five sisters, Francisca Matos, Igdalia Martínez, Tania García, Maria Nieves and Nelida Nieves, six brothers, Tomaso and Teodoro Rivera, Manuel Robles, and Mario, José Luís and José Antonio Nieves, seventeen grandchildren, three great grandchildren, and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Blanca's family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday, August 26th from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Washington Memorial Funeral Home, 4 Washington Ave., North Haven.
