Bienvenido Cintrón, 68, of New Haven, CT died peacefully at Yale-New Haven Hospital, St. Raphael Campus on Wednesday, August 27, 2025 with his loving family by his side. Bienvenido was born in Cayey, Puerto Rico on March 22, 1957, a son of Luz Delia Rodríguez of New Haven and the late Angel Luís Cintrón, and had resided in New Haven for the past forty five years.
He worked for many years a plumber and fork lift operator in the construction and manufacturing industries. Bienvenido was known for his cheerful attitude, his love of music and always being there helping those in need. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Bienvenido is survived by his beloved sisters, Wilda Rivera, Maritza, Luz Delia and Nitza Cintrón of New Haven, Virginia Cintrón of Cayey, Sonia Cintrón of Wallingford, Maria de los Angeles Cintrón of Guayama, Puerto Rico and Elizabeth Cintrón of San Diego, CA, beloved brother José Carlos Cintrón of New Haven, and many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was predeceased by two beloved brothers, Angel Luís and Juan Ramón Cintrón.
Bienvenido's family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday, September 2nd from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Iglesia Resurreción y Vida, 141 Sylvan Ave., New Haven. A funeral service will take place during visitation time, the Rev. Zoraida Gudalupe officiating. A prayer service will take place at the church on Wednesday, September 3rd at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, New Haven.
