Benjamin M. Federico, Jr., 81 of North Haven died peacefully at his home on Wednesday, February 26, 2020 with his loving family by his side. He was the beloved husband of fifty seven years to Ann Mazzucco Federico. Ben was born in New Haven on May 17, 1938, a son of the late Benjamin M. and Amelia Ranciato Federico, Sr. He had resided in East Haven for most of his life before moving to North Haven in 1994. Ben was an inside manager for Detroit Steel for twenty nine years, retiring in 1994. He was an Auxiliary Police Officer in East Haven from 1979-1991, and then became a Police and Protective Services Officer at Yale-New Haven Hospital for twenty three years retiring in 2014. Ben served in the Army National Guard, was a member of the Blue Knights Motor Cycle Club since 1992, and a member of the New Haven County Centurions since 1979. He is also survived by his daughter Lia Federico of Southington, his son Benjamin M. Federico, III and his wife Janice of North Haven, and his granddaughter Marissa Lynn Federico, also of North Haven. THERE WILL BE NO CALLING HOURS.
