Benito Rosario Ortíz

Benito Rosario Ortíz, 76, of New Haven, CT died peacefully on Thursday, August 1, 2024 with his loving family by his side. Benito was born in Cayey, Puerto Rico on March 21, 1948, a son of the late Alcadio Rosario and the late Virginia Ortíz,and had lived in Cayey for most of his life before moving to New Haven in 2009. While living in Puerto Rico, Benito worked for many years in the construction industry. He is survived by five daughters, Loyda (Pedro Rosado) Rosario of Clearmont, FL, Margarita (Victor Rodríguez) Rosario of East Haven, Enid (Wilberto Ofray) Rosario of Winter Haven, FL, and Benitza and Irmari Rosario of Cayey, four sisters, Cecilia and Ada Gloria Rosario of Florida, Nina Rosario of San Juan, PR and Milagros Rosario of Cayey, four brothers Julio (Ada) Rosario of Caguas, PR, Nicolas Rosario and Alfredo (Alma) Rosario of Florida, fourteen grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He was predeceased by his daughter Jacqueline Rosario and his brother Juan Rosario.

Funeral services for Benito are private and have been entrusted to the Washington Memorial Funeral Home, 4 Washington Ave., North Haven. washingtonmemorialfh.com
