Aurea E. Roman Rolon

Aurea E. Roman Rolon, 55 of New Haven, CT died peacefully on Tuesday, June 11, 2024 at Yale-New Haven Hospital, York St. Campus with her loving family by her side. She was the beloved wife of Johnny Rivera. Aurea was born in Salinas, Puerto Rico on May 30, 1969, a daughter of Neyda Rolon de Jesús of New Haven and the late Bernardo Roman, and had resided in Salinas for most of her life, Brooklyn, NY for twenty years, and had moved to New Haven less than two years ago. She is also survived by two daughters, Christina Ares Roman and Sasha Ares Roman of New Haven, two sons, José Antonio Roman Torres of Burlington, NJ and Elvin Junior Roman of New Haven, Annette (Freddy) González of Florida and Lisa (David) Ortíz of Riverview, FL, five brothers, Bernardo Roman Rolon and Bernardo “Billy” Roman of New Haven, Benny Roman Rolon and his fiancé Alicia DiBene of North Haven, Nando Roman of Browns Mills, NJ and Lorenzo Roman of Springfield, MA, six grandchildren Mariangeliz, Layla, Alyah, Levi, Mailony and Isaias, and many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, including Veronica "India" Roman, Eric Roman, Lizaury Annette Roman and Alex Roman.

Aurea’s family will receive relatives and friends on Monday, June 17th from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Washington Memorial Funeral Home, 4 Washington Ave., North Haven. A funeral service will take place at the funeral home during visitation time. Burial will be private. washingtonmemorialfh.com
