Arthur A. Dexter

Arthur A. Dexter, 82, of North Haven, CT passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 13, 2024. He was the beloved husband of thirty five years to Sharon (Watrous) Dexter. Arthur was born in New Haven on December 24, 1941, a son of the late Arthur A. and Emily (Lynch) Dexter, Sr. He grew up and lived most of his life in West Haven, and had resided in North Haven since 2000. Art was a longtime letter carrier for the Milford Post Office. He loved watching his New York Yankees, and his happiest times were spent with his family. He was the amazing father to David (Linda) Dexter, Lisa Odel (Alan Egerton), Karen Dexter (Keith Newman), Kim Metzinger, Jennifer Love Leigh, Marc (Christina) Dexter and Rebecca Landon (Jason Tomaszewski), and the proud grandfather of sixteen wonderful grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Art’s family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday, August 15th from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Washington Memorial Funeral Home, 4 Washington Ave., North Haven. Burial will be private.
