Antonio Rivera

Antonio "Tony" Rivera, 51, of Waterbury, CT, formerly of New Haven, CT died suddenly at his home on Tuesday, October 1, 2024. Tony was born in Bridgeport, CT on January 10, 1973, a son of the late Juan Rivera and the late Lydia Esther Barreto. He had lived in New Haven for most of his life before moving to Waterbury four years ago. He was a 1991 graduate of ACES of Hamden, and from a young age Tony had been a self-employed mechanic. He is survived by three daughters, Jenny Esther Rivera and Lynette Lydia Rivera of North Carolina and Olivia Nevaeh Jackson of Bridgeport, four sisters, Margarita (Eduardo Colón) Rivera, Lydia Rivera and Milagros Rivera of New Haven and Juanita (Augustin Cirino) Rivera of Hamden, one brother, Johnny Rivera of New Haven, and two grandchildren, Bellona Lila Rivera and Sophia Nayda Rivera of North Carolina.

Tony's family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday, October 10th from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Washington Memorial Funeral Home, 4 Washington Ave., North Haven. A funeral service will take place at the funeral home on Friday, October 11th at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Beaverdale Memorial Park, New Haven. washingtonmemorialfh.com
