Anthony Fergus Caprio, Jr., of California, formerly of North Haven passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, November 2, 2024, at the young age of 55. His family is deeply saddened by his death.
Anthony "Tony" was born in New Haven, CT on February 24, 1969, a son of Anthony Fergus Caprio, Sr. of North Haven, CT and the late Anita Frances (Acerra) Caprio.
Tony was a father, son, brother and uncle. Tony leaves behind his beloved son Jesse Caprio, his father Anthony Fergus Caprio, Sr., sister Anita Caprio Morrone, two nieces Lindsey (Anthony) Graziano and Amanda Morrone, great niece Lexi Graziano and great nephew Callen Friedman.
Tony always had a love for animals, especially exotic ones. He enjoyed motorcycles, watching NASCAR, and going to the casino. He was a collector of celebrity photos and autographs, and enjoyed the simple things in life, like cooking steak on the grill.
He was a graduate of North Haven High School, and a former conductor for Amtrak in Connecticut.
Tony will always be remembered for his larger-than-life personality, his huge smile, his strong will, and his witty stories.
Tony's family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday, November 13th from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Washington Memorial Funeral Home, 4 Washington Ave., North Haven. A funeral service will take place at the funeral home at 8:00 p.m. Interment will be private.
