Annette Marie (DePalma) Simell

Annette Marie “Mimi” Simell, 89, of Hamden, CT died peacefully on Friday, March 22, 2024 at Whitney Center, Hamden with her loving family by her side. She was the beloved wife of the late Pasquale A. Simell. Mimi was born in New Haven, CT on February 11, 1935, a daughter of the late Joseph and Louise Cardonita DePalma, and was a lifelong Hamden resident. She was a former board member of the Whitney Players Theatre Group. Mimi is survived by two daughters, Patty A. Simell and Cindy (Ken) Simell-Devoe of Hamden, two grandchildren, Luke (Aislinn) Devoe and April (Sean) Sweeney, and two great-grandchildren, Finley Grace Devoe and Ellison Theresa Devoe. She was predeceased by her sister Concetta Ranciato. Mimi’s family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday, March 27th from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Washington Memorial Funeral Home, 4 Washington Ave., North Haven. A funeral service will take place at the funeral home at 8:00 p.m. Burial will be private.
