Angelina (Caturano) Rizzo

Angelina Caturano Rizzo, 93, of Hamden, CT died peacefully on Thursday, March 23, 2023. She was the beloved wife of the late Leonard Rizzo, NHFD, Ret. Angelina was born in New Haven on August 10, 1929, a daughter of the late Ignazio “Jerry” and Theresa Perrotti Caturano, and was a lifelong Hamden resident. She is survived by her son, Attorney Michael E. Rizzo and his wife Laurie of North Haven, one sister, Jeanette Reynolds of Hamden, two grandsons, Steven M. Rizzo and his wife Lisa of Jersey City, NJ and Alec J. Rizzo of Stamford, and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. The Rizzo family would like to extend their heart felt gratitude to the entire staff of the Hamden Health Care Center for the compassionate and loving care they provided to Angie for the past five years. Angelina’s family will receive relatives and friends on Sunday, March 26th from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Washington Memorial Funeral Home, 4 Washington Ave., North Haven. A funeral service will take place at the funeral home on Monday, March 27th at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be private.
