Angelina Marie Covone Dusa, 82 of North Haven died peacefully at her home on Saturday, December 26, 2020 with her loving family by her side. She was the beloved wife of fifty nine years to Joseph “Mike” Dusa. Angelina was born in Hamden on October 9, 1938, a daughter of the late Galileo “William” and Concetta Morelli Covone, and had resided in North Haven for the past fifty years. Angelina was a claims representative for Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Haven for twenty five years, retiring in 2003. She loved to travel, and especially enjoyed family trips to Vermont. Angelina was known for her meatballs. Family and friends would gather at her home on Sundays to enjoy them. In addition to her husband Mike, Angelina is survived by three daughters, Deborah (Darryl) Dusa-Mahon and Angelina Dusa of North Haven, and Valerie Dusa-Simon of East Haven, one son, Dr. Michael J. Dusa of Wallingford, two sisters, Susan (Arnold) Battista of Durham and Jeanette Driscoll of New Haven, one brother, Michael (Perry) Covone of Hamden, three grandsons, Shane (Melanie) Mahon, and Jesse and Cody Mahon, and one great-grandson Zander Mahon. She was predeceased by her son-in-law, Ricky Simon, and two brothers, Frank and William Covone. Funeral services for Angelina are private and have been entrusted to Washington Memorial Funeral Home, 4 Washington Ave., North Haven.
