Angel Marie Raynsford, 39 of Meriden died peacefully on Saturday, June 27, 2020 at Midstate Medical Center, Meriden. Angel was born in Brooklyn, CT on September 20, 1980, a daughter of Joseph Nye and Rhonda Humphrey of Hampton, CT. She had resided in Pomfret Center, CT for most of her life, and then in North Haven for three years before moving to Meriden last year. Angel was a 1998 graduate of H.H. Ellis Technical High School in Danielson, CT. She went on to attend Quinebaug Valley Community College in Killingly, CT, and graduated in 2004 from UConn with a BA in Social Services. Angel went on to proudly serve her country with the U.S. Army for seven years, attaining the rank of Specialist, and did a tour of duty in Afghanistan from 2011 to 2012. She is survived by a daughter, Faith Raynsford of Dayville, CT, two sons, Denton (Emily) Raynsford of Brooklyn and Clint Raynsford of Hampton, her maternal grandmother, Arlene Humphrey of Brooklyn, one brother, Joseph Nye, Jr. of Hampton, one sister, Amanda McQuesten of Wallingford, and two grandchildren, Gabriel and Izabella Raynsford. Funeral services for Angel were private and were entrusted to the Washington Memorial Funeral Home, 4 Washington Ave., North Haven.
