Amin Tawadros

Amin Tawadros, 85, of West Haven died peacefully at Yale-New Haven Hospital on Sunday, December 18, 2022. He was the beloved husband of Fawzia Bishara. Mr. Tawadros was born in Khartoom, Sudan on September 2, 1937, a son of the late Ibrahim Tawadros and the late Ogene Ishaya, and had resided in both Egypt and Libya before coming to the United States in 1991, living in Seymour for thirteen years before moving to West Haven in 2004. While in Egypt, Mr. Tawadros worked in the private sector as a civil engineer. In addition to his wife Fawzia, Mr. Tawadros is survived by two sons, Amgad "Mac" Tawadros and his wife Sahar of Norwalk and Sam Tawadros and his wife Joyce of Franklin Park, NJ, four sisters, Angel (Abdu) Ibrahim and Elein Ibrahim of Cairo, Egypt, Nousa Ibrahim of Port Fouad, Egypt and Eva Ibrahim of Sydney, Australia, one brother, Onsi (Elizabeth) Tawadros of Derby, and three beloved grandchildren, Maya, Alexander and Zachary Tawadros of Norwalk. He was predeceased by a sister, Suesue Ibrahim, and a brother, Anton Ibrahim. A funeral service will take place on Tuesday, December 20th at 10:00 a.m. at Virgin Mary & Archangel Michael Coptic Orthodox Church, 400 Ridge Road, Hamden.
