Aida Adorno, 66 of New Haven died peacefully on Saturday, April 17, 2021 at Yale-New Haven Hospital, St. Raphael Campus with her loving family by her side. Aida was born in Arecibo, Puerto Rico on December 13, 1954, a daughter of the late Horacio Adorno and the late Placida López, and had resided in New Haven for the past forty six years. Aida is survived by three sons, Carlos González and his wife Eneida, Moises Sánchez and his wife Jennifer Rodríguez, and Lester Sánchez of New Haven, one daughter, Maria del Pilar Pagán Adorno and her husband Francisco Rodríguez of Puerto Rico, five sisters, Elba Adorno and her husband José Santo of Florida, Gloria Adorno and Ana Adorno of New Haven, Zoraida Santana of Ohio, and Maria Adorno and her husband Alberto Maldonado of Puerto Rico, one brother, Miguel Adorno of Puerto Rico, six grandchildren, Moises Antonio Sánchez, Danaliz Sánchez, Vanessa González, Tatiana González, of New Haven, and Yarimar Rodríguez and Francisco G. Rodríguez of Puerto Rico, and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Aida's family will receive relatives and friends on Sunday, April 25th from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the Washington Memorial Funeral Home, 4 Washington Ave., North Haven. A funeral service will take place at the funeral home on Monday, April 26th at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, New Haven. www.washingtonmemorialfh.com
