Ruben Gonzalez Alvarez Obituary

Ruben Atilano Gonzalez Alvarez, 91 of New Haven died suddenly at his home on Sunday, March 13, 2016. He was the beloved husband of the late Isolina de Armas Morales. Ruben was born in Sancti-Spiritus, Cuba on October 5, 1924, a son of the late José Gonzalez and Edelmira Alvarez, and moved to New Haven from Cuba in 2012. He was a retired auto rental dispatcher in Cuba. Ruben is survived by his daughter Teresita Gonzalez de Armas of New Haven, one brother, Avilio Gonzalez of Santa Clara, Cuba, and three grandchildren, Katía Mendez Gonzalez of Naugatuck, Anibal Mendez Gonzalez of New Haven, and Reinaldo Mendez Gonzalez of Virginia Beach, VA. He was predeceased by his son in-law Reinaldo Mendez Colarte, and ten brothers and sisters.
