Pedro Ramos

Pedro Ramos, 68 "El Falcón del Oriente" of New Haven died peacefully on Friday, September 20, 2019 at Yale-New Haven Hospital with his loving family by his side. He was the beloved husband of Ivette Caraballo Ramos. Pedro was born in Fajardo, Puerto Rico on March 1, 1951, a son of the late Pedro Ramos, Sr. and the late Carmen Melendez. He had resided in New Haven for the past forty three years. Pedro was a building contractor and owned Oriente Construction Co. of New Haven for the past thirty years. Pedro loved music. He wrote and performed Trovadores Songs, and also wrote Decimas Poems. He was and avid domino player, and an animal and nature lover. In addition to his wife, Pedro is survived by two sons, Ferny Omar Ramos and his wife Dresda Cotto and Tiemarcie Ramos and his wife Martina of New Haven, three sisters, Petra Ramos of Cleveland, OH, and Matilde Ramos and Inez Ramos of Fajardo, two brothers, Ramiro Ramos of New Haven and Eliseo Ramos of Fajardo, and three grandchildren, Tiamarie Ramos, Carmelo Ramos and Jenibelle Ramos, all of New Haven. Pedro's family will receive relatives and friends on Friday, September 27th from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Washington Memorial Funeral Home, 4 Washington Ave., North Haven.
