Maria Isabel Rondón

Maria Isabel Rondón, 73 of New Haven died peacefully on Thursday, August 1, 2019 at Connecticut Hospice, Branford with her loving family by her side. She was the beloved wife of the late Julio Angel Baéz. Maria was born in Canóvanas, Puerto Rico on April 19, 1946, a daughter of the late Candído Rondón and the late Juana Ortíz, and had resided in Canóvanas for most of her life before moving to New Haven fourteen years ago. She was a member of Iglesia La Nueva Jerusalén of New Haven. Maria is survived by two daughters. Jocelyn Bareto of Canóvanas and Yasmin Nieves Rondón of New Haven, two sons,  Edgardo E. Melendez of New Haven and Wilfredo Quiñones of Carolina, Puerto Rico, two brothers, José Aníbal Rondón of Florida and Raul Rondón of Tennessee, seventeen grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was predeceased by one son, Carlos Antonio Rondón, three sisters, Carmen, Gloria and Ramona Rondón, and one brother, Enrique Rondón. Maria's family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday, August 6th from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Washington Memorial Funeral Home, 4 Washington Ave., North Haven. A funeral service will take place at the funeral home on Wednesday, August 7th at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, New Haven. www.washingtonmemorialfh.com
