Maria E. Hernandez

Maria E. Hernandez, 94 of New Haven died peacefully at her home on Friday, October 25, 2019 with her loving family by her side. She was the beloved wife of the late Federico Rodriguez. Maria was born in La Vega, Dominican Republic on July 11, 1925, a daughter of the late Juan Hernandez and the late Maria de los Angeles Ramos and had resided in the Dominican Republic for most of her life before moving to New Haven twenty years ago. She is survived by three daughters, Alcadia Rodriguez of New Haven, Maria Teresa Medrano of New York City and Julieta Medrano and her husband Camilo Alvárez of Pomplona, Spain, three sons, Nalciso Rodriguez of Pimentel, Dominican Republic, Domingo Antonio Hernandez and his wife Beatriz Rodriguez of Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic and José Graviel Medrano and his wife Cecilia of New York City, sixteen grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren. She was predeceased by on son, Juan Marco Rodriguez, and one grandchild. Maria's family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday, October 29th from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the Washington Memorial Funeral Home, 4 Washington Ave., North Haven.
