Margaret "Marty" Schnelle Barletta, 60 of Sebastian, FL, and former longtime resident of North Haven entered into eternal rest on Sunday, March 6, 2016 at the Sebastian River Medical Center with her beloved husband Mark by her side. Marty was born in New Haven on October 5, 1955, a daughter of the late Francis and Catherine Gauggel Schnelle. She graduated from St. Mary High School in New Haven in 1973, and continued on to receive her B.S. in Library Science from Southern Connecticut State University. Marty was a longtime member of the office staff of Dr. Robert Henry of Hamden. She previously worked for the Regional Water Authority, and was one of the first civilian dispatchers for the Hamden Fire Department. Marty loved reading, jigsaw puzzles, visiting lighthouses, and the NY Mets. She was involved in the local church, and volunteered in soup kitchens. Marty is survived by her husband Mark Barletta, retired HFD, a son Adam Barletta, Captain HFD of Hamden, a daughter Robin Faiola, and her husband Tom Faiola of Wellington, FL a brother Charles Schnelle and his wife Mary Schnelle of Rio Vista, CA, two grandchildren Robert Durso and Harper Faiola, brother-in laws and sister-in laws, Jack Barletta of Branford, Bob and Lisa Barletta of North Haven, and Richard and Maria Barletta of Hamden, and several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her father in-law and mother in-law John and Irene Bugiani Barletta, and her beloved four legged companion "Charley." Marty's family will receive relatives and friends on Friday (March 18th) from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Washington Memorial Funeral Home, 4 Washington Ave., North Haven. Her funeral procession will leave from the funeral home on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial which will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. in Our Lady of Mt.
