Luz Maria Gutierrez

Luz Maria Gutierrez, 84 of New Haven died peacefully on Thursday, August 15, 2019. She was the beloved wife of the late Marcos A. Cosme Gutierrez. Luz was born in Cayey, Puerto Rico on July 19, 1935, and had resided in New York City for most of her life before moving to New Haven twenty six years ago. She is survived by a daughter, Carmen M. Lebron of New Haven, five granddaughters, Yolanda Vargas, Wanda Lopéz, Liza Lopéz, Yanalex Thompson and Yonelix Gutierrez, all of New Haven, eleven great grandchildren, six great great grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was predeceased by a son, Bernardo Lebron. Luz's family will receive relatives and friends on Monday, August 19th from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Washington Memorial Funeral Home, 4 Washington Ave., North Haven.
