José Gustavo Izaguirre

José Gustavo Izaguirre, 82 of New Haven, formerly of Managua, Nicaragua died peacefully on Sunday, July 7, 2019 at Apple Rehab Rehabilitation Center, West Haven with his loving family by his side. José was born in Managua on July 1, 1937, a son of the late Bernabe Vasquez and the late Irene Izaguirre. He came to the U.S. in 1990 and had resided in New Haven since that time. He was a machinist for Current Illuminating of East Haven for four years, retiring in 1996. José is survived by three daughters, Myra (Didier) Le Glatín of La Rochette, France, Sonia (Edwin) Vargas of New Haven and Claramina Izaguirre of East Haven, three sons, Manuel (Azucena) de Jesus Izaguirre of Managua,and Douglas (Maria Patricia) Izaguirre and Bernabe (Evelyn) Izaguirre of East Haven, fifteen grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. He was predeceased by five brothers and one sister. José's family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday, July 10th from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Washington Memorial Funeral Home, 4 Washington Ave., North Haven. A funeral service will take place at the funeral home at 12:00 p.m. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, New Haven. www.washingtonmemorialfh.com
