Fernando Romero, 55 of New Haven, formerly of New York City died peacefully at his home on Sunday, July 14, 2019 with his loving family by his side. He was the beloved husband of Yulisa Espinal Romero. Fernando was born in Jimbe in the region of Ancash, Perú on July 11, 1964, a son of Orlando Romero of Jimbe and the late Benicia Huaman. He had resided in New York City for more than thirty years before moving to New Haven one year ago. Prior to his illness, Fernando was a sales support person for Sachs Fifth Avenue in NYC for ten years until 2018.He is also survived by three daughters, Yudiliz Romero of the Bronx, NY, and Yulenny Martinez and Chelsea Romero of New Haven, one son, Raymi Romero of New Haven, one sister, Indira Romero of Jimbe, and three brothers, Gustavo Romero of Chimbote, Perú, Edison Romero of Lima, Perú and Orlando Agustín Romero of Jimbe, Perú. Fernado's family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday, July 18th from 4:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Ortiz Funeral Home, 201 Havemeyer St., Brooklyn, NY. Burial will be private.
