Elvia Ivette Burgos Agosto, 55 of New Haven died Wednesday, September 4, 2019 at Yale-New Haven Hospital after being stricken at home. She was the beloved wife of Luís Agosto. Elvis was born in New York City on October 25, 1963, a daughter of Rafael Burgos of New York City and Gloria Negroni of New Haven. She had resided in New York City for most of her life before moving to New Haven twenty years ago. Elvia is also survived by a daughter, Amanda Burgos of West Haven, two sons, Anthony Burgos of Staten Island, NY and Jonathan Agosto of New Haven, two brothers, Luís Angel Henriquez and his wife Denise of Branford and Angel Luís Henriquez of Mansfield, OH, and two granddaughters, Yarelis Roman and Layla Lopéz. Elvia's family will receive relatives and friends on Friday, September 13th from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Washington Memorial Funeral Home, 4 Washington Ave., North Haven.
