Claire M. (Franzman) DiLeone

Claire M. Franzman DiLeone, 69 of New Haven, formerly of Hamden died peacefully on Friday, June 28, 2019 at Yale-New Haven Hospital with her loving family by her side. Claire was born in New Haven on June 1, 1950, a daughter of the late Julius and Deanna Abate Franzman. She had resided in Hamden for much of her life before returning to New Haven in 1994. Claire was a retired x-ray technician for several area medical firms including Hamden Medical Services. She is survived by one daughter, Dr. Anne DiLeone and one son, Fred (Xi) DiLeone, Jr., both of Hamden, her beloved grandson Julian DiLeone of Hamden, and her long-time partner Susan Torre of New Haven. She was predeceased by her step-mother Margaret Nunziante Franzman and four brothers, Norman, Al, Jerry and Lee Franzman. There will be no calling hours. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a graveside service on Friday, July 5th at 11:00 a.m. in St. Lawrence Cemetery, 280 Derby Ave., West Haven.
