Carmen Delia Ramos, 57 of New Haven died suddenly on Saturday, January 4, 2020 at Yale-New Haven Hospital, St. Raphael Campus with her loving family by her side. Carmen was born in Gurabo, Puerto Rico on January 18, 1962, a daughter of Felix M. and Jacinta Martinez Ramos, Sr. of New Haven, and was a life long city resident. She was a teacher's aid with LULAC Headstart of New Haven for ten years until 2008. Carmen is survived by three sons, Manuel (Jessica) Cuevas, Luís Cuevas and his fiancé Glorimar Rodriguez and Miguel Angel (Nataly Salmerón) Cuevas, all of New Haven, two sisters, Mevelin Ramos and her finance Rafael Castro of Stamford and Gloribeth (Rigoberto Otero) Ramos of New Haven, five brothers, Felix M.( Virginia) Ramos, Jr. of North Ft. Meyers, FL, Carlos (Marcia) Ramos of Cape Coral, FL, Edgar Oscar Ramos of Tampa, FL, and Luís Fernado Ramos and Ezequiel Ramos of New Haven, four granddaughters, Jalyssa and Jalyana Cuevas and Jonathan and Jesenia Once, and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Carmen's family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday, January 9th from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the Washington Memorial Funeral Home, 4 Washington Ave., North Haven. A funeral service will take place at the funeral home on Friday, January 10th at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, New Haven. www.washingtonmemorialfh.com
