Anne Elizabeth Stadolnik Cheesman, 94 of New Haven died peacefully on Tuesday, October 15, 2019 at Laurel Woods, East Haven. She was the beloved wife of the late John Fred Cheesman. Anne was born in New Haven on February 14, 1925, a daughter of the late William and Tekla Rutkauskas Stadolnick, and was a lifelong New Haven resident. She was a banker for First Federal Bank (now Webster Bank) for twenty eight years retiring as vice-president of her branch in 1986. Along with her husband John, she was warded the "Grandparents of the Year Award", and was a member of Sages at the former Gateway Community College. Anne is survived by two daughters, Joan Harvey Carter of Willington and Nancy Beth Cheesman of New Haven, a son-in-law, Walter Nagorski of Shrewsbury, MA, six grandchildren, John Fred Cheesman, Anthony John Cheesman, Jason Harvey, Adam Harvey, Cathy Nagorski and Alex Nagorski, and two great grandchildren, Brenden and Jeffrey Harvey. She was predeceased by one sister, Josephine Douglas, and four brothers, Peter, William, Joseph and John Stadolnik. THERE WILL BE NO CALLING HOURS. A graveside service will take place on Monday, October 21st at 1:00 p.m. at All Saints Cemetery, North Haven.
